Housing, Economic Developmentand Transportation Research Center
The Housing, Economic Development and Transportation Research Center (HEDTRC) is the housing, economic development and transportation policy research group of Optimal. The HEDTRC performs work for clients at local, state, and federal levels of government; as well as for clients in the private and non-profit sectors. This center includes a diverse staff with degrees in such fields as public policy, economics, and urban planning. Core skill sets include statistical analyses using SAS and STATA, GIS analyses, custom econometric modeling, impact analyses, cluster analysis, program evaluation, survey design, and focus group/community meeting facilitation. Current clients include the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the Maryland Port Authority, and the City of Baltimore. The HEDTRC has experience in issues relating to:
