Optimal Evaluates Foreign Language Education for DLIFLC

For Immediate Release: July 2007

Optimal Solutions Group will partner with WestEd to provide evaluation of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center’s (DLIFLC) language programs. DLIFLC provides foreign language education, training, and evaluation for Department of Defense personnel to ensure the success of their foreign language proficiency programs and to enhance the security of the United States.

The evaluation team will create a program report presenting evidence-based results of program activities, particularly program initiatives and enhancements, and identify their relative impact on changes in graduation rates under raised requirements. It is anticipated that the evaluation project will result in quality improvement over time.
