About the Conference
This three day conference invites state directors from across the nation to Washington, DC in order to:

• Provide state directors with information and updates related to the accountability requirements necessary for successful AEFLA state grant administration.
  
  
• Build states’ capacity for improving the quality of instructional services by providing state directors with information, knowledge and skills in topics such as standards-based educational reform, evidence-based reading reform, and transitioning adult learners to postsecondary education.
  
  
• Promote peer learning by providing state directors with both structured and informal opportunities to share experiences addressing challenges in areas such as serving out-of-school youth, immigration, workforce credentialing, and effective monitoring of local programs.
